The Waring blender was originally called the Miracle Mixer and debuted in 1937. By 1954, one million Waring blenders had been sold.

Think making margaritas is the most important use for your blender? Dr. Jonas Salk used a Waring blender with an Aseptic Dispersal Container attachment to develop the polio vaccine.

The first electric mixer was invented and sold by the Universal Electric Mixer and Beater Company in 1918.

The current KitchenAid food mixer is a true American classic, with an original patent of 1937.
